Tribal Warfare
Tribal Warfare can be used as an “Opt-in” method to bypass certain rules, but both parties must agree and adhere to the following rules:
To participate in Tribal Warfare, both tribes MUST have declared Tribal Colors (flags painted with their tribe’s colors at the entry of all shared base locations, as well as all participating members wearing armor dyed with that same color scheme [minimum of chest and legs dyed]).

No Griefing
- Be respectful to others in both in-game chat as well as on the forums
- Destroying bases is not permitted during raiding (see exception in Tribal Warfare section). If you are raiding a base, you are only permitted to do the minimum amount of damage to gain access to that base’s facilities. Do not destroy beds (see exception in Tribal Warfare section)
- Killing tamed creatures is only permitted if those creatures initiate the attack (see exception in Tribal Warfare section).
- Keeping prisoners longer than one real-life hour is not permitted. The prisoner must be released or killed after one hour. (see exception in Tribal Warfare section)
- No killing creatures that are in the process of taming. There is no exception to this rule.
- No killing offline players (see exception in Tribal Warfare section). While accidents can happen when gaining access to a base, this falls under the minimal damage rule of base raiding. (Note: further exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis for this as per the rules governing when PvP is allowed -- especially in cases of people going offline to avoid being killed while being actively hunted by another player)
- RULE EXCEPTION: Structures blocking cave entrances may be destroyed without consequences. Note that structures inside caves that can be navigated around are treated by the rules above, but structures that block entrances to caves or cave passages may be destroyed.
No Killing on Sight
- Killing another player may only be done with a valid reason, and requires some level of interaction (see exception in Tribal Warfare). Examples: Another player is caught stealing from your base or another survivor. You may intervene by calling them out. If they do not return the stolen goods or attempt to flee, you are permitted to kill them.
- Territorial encroachment CAN be used, but in this case, 1 real-life day must be given for the encroaching party to relocate.
- As a general rule, if a situation in real life would not require force to resolve do not use force to resolve it in game.
- Leaders of both tribes must agree to declare war on one another and provide a list of participating members to the server admins. If both leaders do not agree to the war, an admin will mediate and determine if the war is justified or not. If the war is deemed justified, a start date and time that is amenable to both parties will be determined and the war will begin at that time.
- When a war is declared, both sides can either agree on a set duration of the war (a number of days) OR declare a war that will continue until a truce/surrender is reached
- If the war is set for a specific number of days, both tribes will may collect implants from their fallen foes -- when the war concludes the tribe with the most implants of enemy members (included in the list provided by their leader when the war is declared) will receive a high-rarity blueprint of an equipment piece of their choosing.
- If no duration is chosen for the war, the war will continue until one side surrenders or a truce is reached. In the case of a surrender, the war will continue for 24 hours after the declaration of surrender.
- All participating members must their tribe’s uniform (clothing/armor dyed with the colors of their tribe) for the duration of the war. If a participating tribe member is killed, they may not participate in the war (no killing opposing tribe members) until they are dressed in their tribe’s colors again.
- During a declared war, bases flying the opposing tribe’s colors may be destroyed (including beds).
- During a declared war, players wearing the opposing tribe’s colors may be killed on sight (including offline players in a base marked with their Tribe's flag) by tribe members wearing their own tribe’s colors.
- During a tribal war, players inside an opposing tribe’s bases NOT wearing tribal colors may be taken prisoner (as per the prisoner rules above) or told to leave the area. Failure to leave the area within a reasonable amount of time (enough to gather their belongings and leave) is acceptable grounds for killing them.
- During a tribal war, prisoners may be taken for longer than the 1 hour limit if both tribes have agreed to lift this limitation
